刘洪平，男，1988年10月生，湖北十堰人，中共党员，博士，副教授。
2011年本科毕业于中国地质大学（武汉）石油工程专业，2013年硕士毕业于中国地质大学（武汉）能源地质工程专业，2017年博士毕业于中国地质大学（武汉），石油与天然气工程专业。2016年1月起在澳大利亚昆士兰大学地质系开展为期1年的博士联合培养。2018年3月到2020年6月在中国地质大学（武汉）地质资源与地质工程博士后流动站工作，2020年9月入职BET体育官方网站（中国）有限公司。
主要从事非常规油气储层地质学、测井地质学等方面的教学和科研工作。主讲《地球物理测井》本科课程，担任JournalofPetroleumScienceandEngineering、SPEJournal、FrontiersofEarthScience、地球科学等期刊审稿人。
研究方向为精细油气藏描述、非常规油气储层评价、测井地质解释、岩石物理。

3. 2022-2023年，板南沙三综合地质研究及开发潜力评价，大港油田横向合作项目，主要完成人；
4. 2020-2021年，致密油藏岩石力学量化表征技术研究，胜利油田横向合作项目，主要完成人；
5. 2016-2019年，红河、泾河油田长8储层测试评价及开发选区，国家重大专项项目，主要完成人；
6. 2016-2017年，Acquisition of Coal Quality by Semi-Automatic Analysis of Corescan® (Hyperspectral) and Other Images，澳大利亚煤工业协会项目，主要完成人；
